One way audio
the service pfingo is quite finnicky and have refused to work with Voxalot so far but I have recently got it to work by disabling the NAT symmetric. However I am still left with one way audio only, given that Voxalot is working fine with any other services, I am at a lost as to where I should look this time?
The one way audio is from the callee back, i.e. I can't hear what the other side is saying when I made the call out from Voxalot via Pfingo. Any idea? Last edited by Tranworld; 07-30-2007 at 05:13 AM. Reason: additional details |

Anybody?
It would be a tremendous help if someone care to give us an idea? Pfingo is actually free for Singapore calling and give us a free DID number too, very valuable if we can make it work.
BTW I think Voxalot is an excellent idea and have upgraded to prmium |

try....
1. Symmetric NAT Handling = NO 2. Optimize Audio Path = NO 3.Codecs = ulaw;alaw;ilbc;gsm;g729;g726;g723 by the way, after the trial period will that DID still be free? |

Thanks Symmetric NAT and optimze audio path had to be NO or it won't work at all, so that was set like that anyway.
I've put in the codecs as instructed but the effect is the same, the audio from the callee to me can't be heard, the other 3/4 of the equation is fine, that is the callee can hear me and I can hear and talk to him without problem |

Ohh and after the trial period there will be a flat charge for the whole package, ie. the DID and all the calls you can make locally, the service has many more features but I didn't bother to find out. By the way the trial is until end of 2007 but could take much longer.

i tried this again using vox and without vox just my ata and pfingo as secondary gateway.
if pfingo to pfingo numbers..totally no problem but calling other numbers thats where i get no audio. so i guess its pfingo side that should find a way to fix this. the only thing that interests me for now is their free DID and somehow the calls to singapore but if they start charging for the DID ill have to think about it. and their rates are quite so high comparable to other providers. |

I have a pfingo on a Linksys 3102 without any problem. Previously Pfingo would not work with Voxalot in any way, but now it worked with this smalll problem.
By the way incoming calls are OK without any problem, that is calling a number with register set as YES in Voxalot |

interesting, did you register pfingo or just as a gateway in your 3102?
i didn't register it and act as just as another gateway. |

Actually I have both, a registered account for the time when I don't mind people calling back or using the gateway account so that people can't call back. They both works fine on the 3102

maybe the reason i cant make it work with my spa was i didn't change any configurations to suit pfingo as voxalot the one registered unless they have almost the same configs that needed.though there's no problem for my incoming via spa
