Voicemail doesn't let me record greeting
Hi all,
this is my first post here, after having a long look at Voxalot and slowly trying to replicate my SPA3102 dial plan and settings on it. I am now trying to record an outgoing voicemail greeting, however the voicemail IVR just won't let me do that... It says 'after the tone record your greeting', then the beep sounds, and then almost immediately comes the next prompt 'to save the greeting press 1' What's wrong and can it be fixed? Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide! |

Same for me on last account created (this week-end):
+ menu 0 (mail box options) ++ item 1 (unavailable message) = silence + hang off after a few seconds ++ item 2 (busy message) = silence + hang off after a few seconds ++ item 3 (name) = silence + hang off after a few seconds ++ item 4 (temporary greetings) = instantly hang off I tried everything since last Friday, but nothing to do. This is only on a newly created account. My other accounts are ok. Seems to be a new bug on server... Last edited by padboll; 04-26-2010 at 06:12 PM. |

Hi ya all - my voice mail is doing the same thing when I try to record, plus there's no generic message like I've had with previous numbers...???

The behaviour on mine is:
- record unavailable message: no time given, after the beep it goes immediately to "press 1 to..." - record temporary message: hangs up immediately Also, callers just hear busy/disconnected tone after the voicemail timeout. I am a bit concerned, as a new (and paying) customer that support is taking so long to respond. The support of my main VSP (CallCentric) only takes between half an hour to a few hours at most to respond to any queries or problems reported, and they have a proper support ticket system in place as well. |

With all due respect to an otherwise very powerful service, I am really surprised to see that 7 days later there is still no response from any support staff regarding this problem!
As far as I understand, this forum is the only support channel Voxalot provide to their paying customers. 7 days and no reply? This is not the way to instil confidence on new and existing customers. As I've been studying Voxalot and planning the feasibility of migrating from my ATA to a service fully relying on Voxalot, this lack of support for this issue has really put me off migrating, and indeed I've had to reconsider my design so that Voxalot can only remain a secondary or backup provider. I mean, simply put, even a short "we're aware of the problem and working on it" would have been reassuring and a good way to appease us, giving us the knowledge that at least there is someone out there working on a solution - but unfortunately, we haven't even had that |

thanks for your reply. I tested it just now and I was able to record an unavailable message. So at least that part seems to be fixed. I will test again from the business account later in the day and if it works, we'll set it up for business use and see how it goes - I will update this thread further. |
