please help: I don't get it..
Hi,
I have no more ideas how to make my phone ring, when s.o. calls me. Here in Vienna (Austria) is a service www.selfnet.at, that offers a pstn (+43 1 230720) to forward calls acc to the 'extension' to the url that was placed at e164.org. That means for 'my' extension 305234 I set up at e164.org 1) the phone no. +43 720 305234 and 2) the url sip://305234@voxalot.com. Now if s.o. calls +43 1 230720 305234 he is routed to voxalot - ok, fine, this works. At Voxalot of course I registered. Now I further just entered at -> Member Menu ->Call Forward under default sip:305234@voxalot.com. And because I just want to use voxalot to receive calls, I did not enter anything else: no providers, Dial Plans, ... I have a SPA941, which I set up acc. to the wikispaces. It can call voip-addr. and if I 'call' 305234@voxalot.com, I get this call on the second line and the phone IS RINGING! (concluding it's not my phone ?) But if s.o. calls me using +43 1 230720 305234, he gets a couple of bells and then the call is ended. During these 'bells' my spa941 does NOT ring and finally the caller is not forwarded to my vocemail box. But if I disable ('no') the default of Call Forward the caller is now directly forwarded to my voicemailbox. (concluding it's not www.selfnet.at ?) What did I miss, what can I do that the phone rings when s.o. calls. Thanks in advance, Carl

I assume that you are logged into voxalot all the time? If I call my ENUM number my phone rings and my settings a re similar to yours. I have forwarding off since I want voxalot to ring.

All I get is a busy signal dialing your number via various routes. You could register your actual phone number with ENUM. I think you probably need to dial *010305234 to get your voxalot line from the service that you are trying to use.

I didn't get you call, dibsmft, nor a message,
just to be save again the phone no.: 0043 1 230720 305234. It should ring but you'll hear my voicebox - right? Anyway, thanks a lot for your call to compare the config!! Due to the fact that my phone was ringing when you were calling directly my voxalot address, I assume that my phone is not the problem. Unfortunately no one from voxalot has answered yet. Carl

I did connect with that phone number and got an announcement in german? After I put in the your voxalot number is gave the busy signal. However, from ENUM to voxalot should be *010305234. Most likely the *101 is needed here as well.
