Default please help: I don't get it..

Hi,

I have no more ideas how to make my phone ring, when s.o. calls me.

Here in Vienna (Austria) is a service www.selfnet.at, that offers a pstn
(+43 1 230720) to forward calls acc to the 'extension' to the url that
was placed at e164.org.

That means for 'my' extension 305234 I set up at e164.org
1) the phone no. +43 720 305234 and
2) the url sip://305234@voxalot.com.
Now if s.o. calls +43 1 230720 305234 he is routed to
voxalot - ok, fine, this works.

At Voxalot of course I registered. Now I further just
entered at -> Member Menu ->Call Forward
under default sip:305234@voxalot.com.

And because I just want to use voxalot to receive calls, I did not
enter anything else: no providers, Dial Plans, ...

I have a SPA941, which I set up acc. to the wikispaces.
It can call voip-addr. and if I 'call' 305234@voxalot.com,
I get this call on the second line and the phone IS RINGING!
(concluding it's not my phone ?)

But if s.o. calls me using +43 1 230720 305234, he gets a couple of bells
and then the call is ended. During these 'bells' my spa941 does NOT ring
and finally the caller is not forwarded to my vocemail box.

But if I disable ('no') the default of Call Forward the caller is now directly
forwarded to my voicemailbox. (concluding it's not www.selfnet.at ?)

What did I miss, what can I do that the phone rings when s.o. calls.

Thanks in advance,
Carl

I assume that you are logged into voxalot all the time? If I call my ENUM number my phone rings and my settings a re similar to yours. I have forwarding off since I want voxalot to ring.

All I get is a busy signal dialing your number via various routes. You could register your actual phone number with ENUM. I think you probably need to dial *010305234 to get your voxalot line from the service that you are trying to use.

I didn't get you call, dibsmft, nor a message,
just to be save again the phone no.: 0043 1 230720 305234.

It should ring but you'll hear my voicebox - right?

Anyway, thanks a lot for your call to compare the config!!

Due to the fact that my phone was ringing when you were calling directly
my voxalot address, I assume that my phone is not the problem.

Unfortunately no one from voxalot has answered yet.

Carl

I did connect with that phone number and got an announcement in german? After I put in the your voxalot number is gave the busy signal. However, from ENUM to voxalot should be *010305234. Most likely the *101 is needed here as well.

hmm,

this I don't understand. My (Austrian) VoipDiscount Phone.No. is
+43 720 305234, my voxalot No. is 305234@voxalot.com.
I have an Autrian PSTN-No. (+43 1 230720...) to access the internet if another PSTN-No. calls me.

Where should I enter/test your *010 or *101
(with * - or is that a symbol for s.th. else) - and what do they change?

At e164.org I have:
Tel.No:
Activ +43 720 305234 ENUM Entries Delete ...

ENUM-Entry:
10 SIP 305234@voxalot.com change delete ..

ENUM-Test:
E2U+SIP sip/305234@voxalot.com

Anyway, thanks for your patience and help,
Carl

crasch,

Your settings to VoXaLot look similar to what I have so I think routing between e164.org and VoXaLot is fine. Did you setup your SPA941 to register with VoXaLot?

The star commands are for calling from the sipbroker free numbers. You do not need them as the number clearly connects to the voxalot voice mail. Call forwarding by voxalot should be off unless you want to forward to somewhere other than you voxalot number.

Thanks,

yes, my SPA941 is regitered at Voxalot: Anybody who directly dials
my voxalot address 305234@voxalot.com makes my spa941 ring.
Anybody else is directly connected to the voicebox.

FYI:
Yesterday (at 10pm - Vienna time) I've got two messages in my voicebox, but at that time I wasn't online anymore. So this works as it should.

Anyway now I have about 11:00 am here and I'll be online for the next 2 hours. I think, this support form shows me (casch) being online as well.

You're invited to try +43 1 230720 305234, this is an Vieannes (Austrian) PSTN-No. On my voice box you'll hear me (in german) and then in English
that you can leave a message..

Thanks everybody for trying to help,
Carl
