Good news! The problem with tf.voipmich.com was resolved on or before 16 January 2008.

In order to get it fixed, I first wrote to support(at)e164(dot)org, the person there then wrote to the voipmich.com people. Apparently, voipmich had installed a new firewall which caused issues they weren't aware of, even though the problem had been going on for some weeks!

If the problem happens again all we need do is email support(at)e164(dot)org or send email directly to the responsible party at tf.voipmich.com ( I do not yet have their email address).

I thank the folks at e164 and voipmich for solving this problem. Now if some of you dear readers will thank me, my "Thanked rating" on this forum will change from "Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts" to something more impressive!

I don't have time to actively monitor all forums all the time, if only I was being paid to run e164.org

emailing us is the best option to tell us when things aren't working.

As for a previous post on automatically monitoring, there is no way to easily monitor call quality in an automated fashion since the number of variables is fairly high, the best we can do is verify that calls are being routed, although this doesn't work 100% because some people whitelist our IP/CID, or handle it differently from normal SIP calls from others etc.
