You certainly are a Guru Martin!

Yes, I tested the dial string #231142100 and sure enough the box ignores it.

The Box uses both * and # but I have now successfully disabled both.

Box dial string (*x.t|#x.t|x.t)

It now passes to Voxalot #231142100

Voxalot Dial Plan test says it should then translate it to 31142100 @ engin

Unfortunalty it still doesn't work.

More idea's? Further Bribes? Or Black magic?

Im assuming you are using the AU server? The last call I see in the logs to that number was at 19:01 Brisbane time.

You sure your latest change were enough to have the call get to VoXaLot as the logs don't show the calls coming in.

Yes AU server.

Although the Box says that it should be passing the # I guess it wasn't. Either that or we are still missing something.

Anyhow I've come up with a different format that works.

I am no guru so I hope the dial plans I have created won't provide any other limitations or problems. If you see any please let me know.

This might be helpfull to others using the Billion 6404VGP with Voxalot.

Note: All * commands need to be turned off in the Box's dial plan.

The main aim is to allow the following.

- Be able to dial normal SIP numbers like *061 xxxxxx

- When normal numbers are dialed it defaults to the prefered dial plan.

- Prefixing with a code allows to over ride and select other providers sitting within Voxalot. 1* (Dials using first provider) 2* (second provider) and so on.

- Kiss (Keep it Simple Stupid!) Try to avoid long complex Dial Plans in the solution.
.

So in the Box's dial plan you need the following to cleanly pass these two formats.

(x*x.t|*x.t|x.T)

Then for Voxalot follow the following format.

Dial plans in priority order:

Priority Pattern Replacement Provider Active
10 _1*. ${EXTEN:2} PennyTel account Yes [Edit] [Delete]
20 _2*. ${EXTEN:2} engin account Yes [Edit] [Delete]
999 _xxxx. ${EXTEN} engin account Yes [Edit] [Delete]

So for my example I will use the engin Brisbane Voice Mail number 31142100

Dial 2*31142100 Success!

Dial 31142100 Success!

Dial *265 0731142100 FAIL! But thats OK. This is becasue engin sux and doesn't allow SIP dialing.

So instead another test.

Dial *9676 711 Success! (This is the Most Cool DarkVOIP Conference)

So, all's well that ends well!. I ended up having to change the format and abandon the # prefixing. BUt I sorta like the new format I have selected as it helps to seperate the actual number from the prefix.

Attached are screen shots for ease of viewing.

Anyone with a Billion that needs help send me a msg.
