I'd vaguely heard of this, maybe somewhere in the Skype forum, and didn't really know what it was

It's a client program to use wi-fi or 3g data access for VoIP applications in suitable phones - mostly Symbian Nokias

Apparently the latest version yesterday is also usable with SIP accounts

I don't yet have such a phone, so I haven't studied their website in much detail so far.

Of course there are other client programs, but perhaps most of these are dedicated to the provider that developed them

I had a bit of a play and fring does looks promising.

Fring + VoXaLot provides least cost routing to the mobile phone.

I have posted on the fring forum for them to consider this combo. See:

I would encourage other VoXaLot users to post also as I really do see this as a powerful combination.

Hmm. I can't get it to work. I'm using Fring on a Nokia E65. I have a Voxalot-profile setup on the build in SIP-client and it works fine - but no matter what I put in the proxy-field in Fring's SIP-settings I can't get it to work with Voxalot ("eu.voxalot.com", "sip:eu.voxalot.com", "85.14.17.194", "sip:85.14.17.194"). I am using my 6 digit Voxalot username and my voaxalot password. Any ideas?
