silent from the other end
Hi
I ofter make calls which get routed to the VSP according to my dial plan but when I call, I get silent, I also get charged by my VSP for the call, this happens too ofter to be ignored, I have the "free" basic voxalot account. does this have anything to do with voxalot or it is VSP mater? thanks |

- Does *600 consistently give you 2-way audio?
- What is your symmetric NAT setting on the member details page? - What is the optimize audio setting on the provider details page? .

600 gives silent for 15 seconds and then a busy tone. No. No. |

Start with turning Symmetric NAT to YES in VoXalot, also power cycle your ATA....then try reaching echo test and see if anyhting changes (you may want to wait a bit after changing Symmetric NAT to Yes) |

the *600 echo test is good. my last post " when I claimed that the echo test failed" was when I dialed 600 with out the "*" . sorry. now that the echo test is good. what could be the problem? the NAT set up is still set to No. thanks Last edited by samjesse; 09-27-2007 at 04:35 PM. |

Turn NAT Symmetric Setting (on the VoXalot Home Page when you login) to Yes (this is an advanced feature, you should only play with it if everything else is working)
Make sure the ATA has STUN set up.... (stun.xten.org has worked for me) On your ATA you my find settings like NAT Mapping Enable and NAT Keep Alive, make sure both are set to yes. |

I changed the setup of my ATA from the voxalot to that of the pennytel "on of my VSP" and it seams to work fine now. will test it for some time and report back.
