Default Verification on VoxCall

I've tried to verify my voxalot account and my pennytel account via Voxalot's new VoxCall on FaceBook but it keeps coming back saying the pin that I'm entering is invalid. Any ideas?

I suspect there are some DTMF issues with your ATA/phone (ie. the number verification doesn't recognize your key presses). What sort of ATA are you using?

Alternatively, if you like, you can PM me your voxalot member id and your facebook id and I can manually activate you.

You can change your SIP URI at any time by simply typing the new on on the settings tab and clicking "Save"

The beauty of VoxCall, is you can change your SIP URI whenever and as often as you like and not have to inform your friends.

I had the same problem with my Grandstream GXP2020, and got it to work with my softphone (Twinkle/Linux). My son has the same problem too and he has a Nokia N95. Any clue?

Thanks for your qucik reply. I am unable to change my SIP URI to my pennytel a/c, whenever i input my code after receving call from Voxalot the system msg. comes: your pin no. is not correct. I have tried to do it thorugh Xlite, Eyebeam and SJ softwares and always getting the same msg. My pennytel SIP URI is: 88807770@incoming.pennytel.com

syed

Default DTMF transmition method

In general, Voip phone(or ATA) has an SEND-DTMF(or DTMF-Tx-Method) option,it has 3 items:

1. in audio, or Inband; in audio=Inband

2. via RTP(RFC2833), or AVT; via RTP(RFC2833)=AVT

3. via SIP INFO

via RTP(RFC2833) is the best choice.

I think Voxalot should make it clear that which DTMF transmission method to be supported by Voxalot side, otherwise most Voxcall member's SIP URI need to be activated manually by Martin or Craig.

What I have found to work best for verification calls :
1) Use G711 codec in ATA / IP Phone (PCMA or PCMU in Voxalot)
2) Use RTP (RFC2833)
3) Uncheck In audio (Inband), and SIP Info (some devices allow the selection of all three modes at the same time
4) Use a good quality corded phone (if using an ATA) as opposed to a cordless phone, as the transmission to the base may be degrading the DTMF tone quality at the receiving end
5) Use a delibrately longer dwell on each dialled number to give the receiving system a better chance to recognize the number. This is not possible with some phones which have a preset duration of each tone.
Hth...

Default trouble with Voxcall

I am also having with Voxcall verification. My phone is registered and I can call to voicemail, and use the echo test, but the Voxcall verification didn't want to call me. It has just called me a couple of times, but there is nothing there - I was expecting a message asking me to key in the verification code, but all I got when I answered was silence. Any ideas?

Thanks Craig, I set my DTMF mode to OutBand (RFC2833) and I was successfully able to verify my account.
