I thought in Germany there was only 10 digit nr (without 0. 11 with 0)for local munich number here it is 11 (12 with 0)
regards shezad The reason im askin is because there are many voip company offering free voip calls with a fix price to call all local numbers in Germany for free but it does not include the national number or special numbers. If this is a local germany number then it should be free, anyone else used the number at checked if they got charged for the call ? |

Is 0049 89 721010 71711 normal German nummer too? I became it from a German VSP.
I can call it from PSTN phone(NL) at my work. I can reach it by VOIP(Smsdiscount) too. But NOT from my mobile phone (not existing number?). Something special what this long numbers? If yes do know somebody VSP where I can have normal nummer? So not 180x(mostly expensive and only to reach from German phone). What is 032-nummer? Normal rate for callers? Can I have this(not living in Germany)? |

+49 89 721010 71711 is 15 digits long. That is the limit set by the ITU as the longest digit string required to be handled worldwide. However, just because the ITU says so doesn't mean that every carrier and every switch maker will be able to handle it immediately.
It is possible that your mobile phone service provider's switching network or their external gateway switch cannot yet handle such a long phone number. It is also possible that the number block (+49 89 721) is so new that they have not yet taught their switches how to reach it. This is a big problem in North America, where there are so many network changes each week that sometimes a change gets lost and must be manually entered. You should call your mobile service provider and explain that you can reach this number from your land line phone but not from their mobile phone and let their engineers resolve the problem. |
