Do you mean to say that you are forwarding DIDWW to a Rogers Cell using VoipDiscount for the call.... If that is the case, one thing to try is set the codec string for VoipDiscount to ulaw;alaw;g729;g726;ilbc;gsm Also ensure you have not set Optimize Audio to Yes without following http://forum.voxalot.com/voxalot-sup...e-quality.html |

My setup is DIDWW -> Voxalot -> VoipDiscount -> Canada (land or mobile) Land line works fine and calls to mobile (rogers) is only one way I tried using "ulaw;alaw;g729;g726;ilbc;gsm" but same result i.e. one way on rogers mobile It is happening for the last couple of weeks .. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. Also I tried optimize path to yes and no .. but same result .. roger mobile doesnt work two way .. Anybody any solution Thanks |

Try using a different codec order and reducing the number of codecs :
gsm;ulaw;alaw;g729 For landline or mobile calls, I generally only list common telephony codecs. Rogers must be using gsm as a codec as they are now a GSM based network. Also, from your Voxalot account can you directly call via Voipdiscount to a Rogers mobile with 2 way voice communication ? |

wrong of Rogers
I guess this is wrong of Rogers, it has not relative with Voip Codec.
GSM mobile carrier adopts gsm Codec only between mobile phone and wireless Base station. Canadian carriers use u.law to communicate with other carrier in PSTN. I use Callcentric(DID)-Voxalot-Voipdiscount-my mobile(CDMA),it works fine. Last edited by hust; 12-02-2007 at 04:56 AM. |

Keep in mind the suggestions above me....
-One thing to try, if you have another provider to replace for VoipDiscount is to see if using another forwarding provider makes a difference (at least to rule out VoipDiscount as the problem)... (I haven't had any problems with my Fido line using InternetCalls for forwarding...) -Also, DIDWW, is it forwarded to 123456@voxalot.com from DIDWW, or is it SIP Registered within your VoXalot acct as an incoming provider (if the latter, you need to apply that codec trick to the DIDWW registration as well)... -One other suggestion I have, if this is your own Rogers line, sign up for PhoneGnome and then use PhoneGnome as the forwarding provider instead of VoipDiscount -This is not directly related, but you may find it of interest: Receiving Calls on your Landline |
