Exclamation Voiptalk.org to Truphone.com SIP address - Woes!

Voiptalk.org to Truphone.com SIP address - Woes!

I have a 'premium one account', which allows me to have one SIP address.

The SIP account I have setup is as follows:

Provider Name - voiptalk.org
Username - 8xxxxxxx
Codecs - g729;g723;g726;ilbc;gsm;ulaw;alaw
Host - voiptalk.org
Port - 5060
Active - Yes
SIP Register - Yes
Optimize Audio Path - Yes

Call Forwarding Settings

Priority - 1
Active - Yes
Matching Rule - Match by - Any inbound number or provider
Every day, all the time
Connect To SIP URI - sip:447624xxxxxx@truphone.com

Now, when someone dials a 'real' telephone number routed to the voiptalk.org address, nothing happens. Call drops.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Perhaps setting optimize audio path to No might help.
Is your Symmetric NAT handling set to Yes on the main page? Try setting to No.
Voiptalk tends to use the G711a (PCMA) codec primarily, I think.

Try calling 447624xxxxxx@truphone.com from something like Gizmo or FWD, and see if that SIP URI is correct in the first place.... It may need to be sip: +447624xxxxxx@truphone.com or sip:ext+447624xxxxxx@truphone.com

It seems TruePhone Sip Settings are not published (or at least I couldn't find them)

According to Truphone support, the SIP address '447624xxxxxx@truphone.com' works fine.

I need to make more tests.

Yes that's right.

You can find it in your Nokia at "Settings > Connection > SIP settings > Truphone > Registrar Server > User name". The "User name" is what comes before "@truphone.com" in your SIP address. It has nothing to do with your phone number.

Maybe you mixed it up with Wifimobile's SIP addresses. This is a competing service which uses "your_mobilenumber@wifimobile.com" as SIP address.

Tell us when you find a way to discover your Truphone SIP password!

Truphone specifically do not want you to use their product on an ATA or other service, they expect you to use only one of the approved and supported mobile phones. If you connect outside of the mobile, then they may chop your account. They won't offer the SIP password either

Finding the SIP password might be easy if you set up a DNS entry for truphone.com locally and then you sniff the traffic.... but I am not about to do this now or any time in the near future as I have too many other things already on my plate.

Has anyone managed to use the Truphone SIP-Code (*878) to call to a Truphone number?

I've tried Markus's method to find the user number, but the resultant string seems ineffective.
