Caller ID is missing
I am using voxalot.com->voipdiscount
My number is a number by ipkall that is a service only for RECIEVING calls. Can I set the caller ID in any way to this number? The number is always missing and some people I know doesn't answer to anonymous calls. Do you have any work around? Regards, Cris |

If you use voipdiscount to make a call, you can register your mobile CLID in the voipdiscount software and go out with this number...

Sorry, is only for mobile number... perhaps, in the future, also landline/VoIP-IN...

I have an account with one of the other betamax services, and I verified my Mobile's number with them to use it as my Caller ID, but it doesn't seem to work for me.
I've heard it will only work if you callout from the software client (not from an ATA). I haven't been able to get it to work from the software client or my ATA (at least for the US numbers I tried calling). |

In "Provider Details" -> "Advanced Mode"
From User: NumberOfYourVerifiedMobile (es. 0039347123456) Username: YourBetamaxAccount But in you Betamax Software, the number of mobile is 0039 and not +39!!! Elia |

I've read similar remarks in the Voipbuster forum - try registering with 00 not + as some ATAs do not support + which is mainly a GSM feature
As for IPKall, I doubt that this will be possible; some calls received via there seem to have another ID, maybe an outgoing server Last edited by andy; 02-19-2007 at 01:29 PM. |

Yes, the number that they see is everytime different (7 and sometimes it's anonymous.
eliafino: I tried to put in "Provider Details" -> "Advanced Mode" -> From User: Mynumber (not verified) and it is still work ing the same way. -Cris Last edited by Cris77; 02-19-2007 at 07:12 PM. |

It won't work period with that provider if you haven't verified the mobile number. However there are other providers that do offer outbound caller ID setting, especially if you just want a US number (like from IPkall) on your caller ID. I use Vitelity ( http://www.vitelity.com/?refer=tb. ) to accomplish setting my outbound caller ID to match my DID from Voxbone.

vitelity.com is not a free service. It's a prepaid service and they want at least $35 to sign in. They lack trasparency: it is not easy to find how much they charge you. Actually I was not able to find this information on their site, yet.
Do you have any other alternatives? -Cris |
