Default Voicemail Upgrade - 20070125

Due to a number of legacy problems with the old voice mail that were associated with the old numbering scheme, we decided to re-engineer it.

We have just deployed it into production and trust it will resolve most issues.

Please let us know your findings.

Note: We are also interested to know if it is working for people not just problems.

Edit: Please check that you dial plans are not handling 500 as there is still a problem with using VoXaLot as a provider in your dial plan.

I can reach my voicemail and log in OK by dialling 500 or by dialling *500.

This morning we tested this (calling PSTN number which is sent to VoXaLot by e164.org); did not answer the call, and voice mail successfully cut in and took a message.

Default Voice mail issues

Voice mail behaviour is not consistent.

Issues I have noticed :
1) Sometimes works perfect
2) Sometimes call terminates after about 4 rings
3) Sometimes call goes to voicemail, and message starts, but ends after a couple of seconds, and no beep is heard
4) These issues seem to happen whether I call Voip to Voip between 2 Voxalot accounts or if I call a DID number

My MyNetFone DID isn't even reaching VoXaLot... but I think you're aware of this problem. I understand the problem is at MNF's end... hopefully they will liaise with you so it can be fixed.

Martin voicemail via my Ipkall number works fine - left myself a message as a test and got it ok and also got email - for your info - Bill

Hi Martin,
When I dial my IPKall number (which gets forwarded to my XXXXXX@voxalot.com URI) the call goes straight to the voice mail. My phone does not ring. Same with Freedigits which gets forwarded to the same Voxalot SIP address.
With registered providers all works as expected. I tried Zingotel.

Roman does *010xxxxxx via SIP Broker access numbers also go straight to voicemail?

Your problem suggests to me that VoXaLot is not able to access your ATA on an inbound call and diverting straight to VM
