Default Is Voxalot voice mail MWI solicited or unsolicited?

I will be using the Voxalot voice mail system with my SPA2102 and also with Twinkle (a SIP softphone). In twinkle setup there is a question about the voice mail MWI type, is it solicited or unsolicited? Which is it?

I suppose this means; does my ATA or softphone ask Voxalot if I have any messages, or does Voxalot come and tell my SIP device that there is a message waiting?

I am just wondering about the process of how the MWI indicator gets set in my SPA2102 so that my phone will chirps every few minutes whenever I have a voice mail message.

What should I do with the field 'Mailbox Subscribe Expires' and what is the meaning of the default value there, which is 2147483647 ?

As far as I know, it should be unsoliticited, with an update interval of 5 minutes form the server...

As far as that value goes for 'Mailbox Subscribe Expires' , not sure what it means...

I have been researching these issues.

The 'Mailbox Subscribe Expires' is how often (in seconds) the ATA sends a voice mail status request (SIP subscribe message). The request doesn't immediately result in the ATA receiving current VM status, but places the ATA on the server's list of units to be notified when the next batch of VM notices is sent (at 5 minute intervals).

The ATA will send a SIP subscribe message on power up, and again every 'Mailbox Subscribe Expires' seconds. Voxalot will send an unsolicited voice mail status update notice (SIP notify message) whenever a new voice mail arrives.
