What is Dail Plans used?

Could any body pls tell me how to configure Dail Plans i don't understand it well could u give the Example?, Does Dail Plans used ATA only or i need to configure for X-Lite too?

You can use an ATA or a softphone (like X-Lite) to access VoXaLot. For starters, you probably want to set your ATA/softphone dial plan to simply pass your dialing straight through to VoXaLot unchanged and let the VoXaLot dial plan do all the work. Dial plan syntax is different between various ATA's and softphone's, so you'll have to refer to the documentation specific to your unit.
