Default Siphone failed to register

I have set up voipbuster and gizmo on the providers list and set register to yes but the status shows:

Description Username Host Active Status
gizmo 17470099500 proxy01.sipphone.com Yes Failed
voipbuster guanacux1 voipbuster.com Yes Registered

I use these parameters for gizmo:

username:17470099500
proxy: proxy01.sipphone.com
port:5060
codecs: g729;ilbc;gsm;ulaw;alaw (the defaults ones)

I would appreciate some feedback in here.

I have set up 4 VSP accounts: 2 at carpo.de, 1 at simply-connect.de and 1 at bellshare.com. "SIP register" is set to yes, but status says "Not registered" at all 4 accounts. :-(

Regards
Jochen

That looks like my setup for Gizmo Project and it is now working. There were some problems with VoXaLot over the past 24 hours, so maybe you go caught up in it. The next registration cycle should occur in about 45 minutes. Hopefully, your Gizmo Project will be working shortly thereafter.

Changes to registrations occur only once a day with the next one due about 45 minutes from now. Hopefully you'll be operational at that time.

3 of my 4 accounts were added yesterday. There must be something wrong!

Jochen

Ron,

Its been 24hrs and still not registered. I really don't know where to go...Now that I checked to see if my other provider, the one that says registered, is working and I can get the dial plan working....

questions:

1. In order to let voxalot manage all the registrations what do I have to put in the ATA, specifically in the dial plan?

2. I have a dial plan set up like these for my providers withing voxalot..can you see if it looks fine:

1 _XXXXXX ${EXTEN} VoXaLot Yes [Edit] [Delete]
2 _#9. ${EXTEN} voipbuster Yes [Edit] [Delete]
3 _#0. ${EXTEN} gizmo Yes [Edit] [Delete]

3. what changes I need to make to have gizmo registered?

Thank you so much,

Jorge

If your ATA is registered with Voxalot (rather than using it as a gateway) you should just need |x.) at the end of your ATA dialplan.

That basically means route anything else to the provider, aka Voxalot, at which point Voxalots dialplan takes over.

My UK ATA dialplan is

Code:
(0[1278]x.<:@gw0>|1[025][03]<:@gw0>|<#S0,><:@gw0>|999S0|x.)
That means anything start 01, 02, 07 or 08 (and any digits) goes over PSTN, 100, 123, 150 or 151 go via PSTN, # causes a PSTN dropout, and 999 goes straight out (emerg, and I need to add <:@gw0> to it). x. routes anything left to Voxalot....(where I use the dial string evaluator to check what will happen with my dialplans there)

For starters, you should use a minimal dial plan in your ATA that simply passes whatever you enter straight through to VoXaLot unchanged. If you're using a Sipura/Linksys ATA, it would be something like:

([x*][x*].)

3 _#0. ${EXTEN} gizmo Yes [Edit] [Delete]
1. You don't need (or want) an entry for VoXaLot. VoXaLot will handle internal calls all by itself.

2/3. Using a '#' character in a dial string/dial plan is very problematic. A Sipura/Linksys ATA uses the '#' as a terminator character and does not pass it by default. Keep your dial plan very simple till you get something working (like maybe a single entry for VoIP Buster).

I didn't see a problem with your Gizmo Project setup in our previous exchange. VoXaLot is presently exhibiting some very erratic behavior which may be severely confusing your troubleshooting efforts. This same behavior could be interfering with your Gizmo Project registration such that you would have to wait until the next registration cycle (up to 24 hours) for another chance of successful registration.

Question still not working :-(

Ok,

As of now I put this on my pap2 dial plan:

and this on my voxalot account dial plan:

and my voxalot sip providers:

I'll also put my sipproxy on my PAP2, even though that is working well:

After doing this....

1. still not registering the gizmo account
2. still being unable to get voipbuster to dial out with "9" dial plan.

I appreciate very much all the feedbacks ,

For your 9 dial plan you should replace with ${exten:1} unless you require 9 to be part of the number that voipbuster will dial.
