Outbound calling to the PSTN is never free and will always cost you somehow, either in flat-rate or by the minute charges. Vitelity charges you $35 initial start up fee for credit that does not expire (unlike the Betamax providers), and charges 1.39 cents (usd) a minute to Canada/US. Vitelity has proven reliable for and satisfactory to me.
I cannot personally vouch for any other similar provider to Vitelity but if you are looking for a lower initial start-up cost, I would consider http://www.callwithus.com/ . I haven't used them but in price, features, caller ID setting, lack of credit expiration, they seem like Vitelity (except being an apparently much smaller company). And they give you 30 cents free to use for testing to see if it meets your expectations. |
