Cancelling unused account

I have a superfluous account that is not being used. It doesn't feel right to be sitting on a number someone else might want. Is there a way to indicate that you want to cancel an account?

No real system in place for this at the moment.

If you want to add the acct. number to your post, or PM it...I'll forward it to the admins to clear it up.
