Default Sipbroker and pbxes.org

Hello all

I see that pbxes.org (pbxes.com) have SIP-Codes assigned in providers directory:

*7661 pbxes.org
*8176 sip.pbxes.com

At the same time pbxes.xxx subs do not have numeric IDs, only something like green-123 or green-ext1 is possible.
My question is what is the reason to assign them the SIP code if those subscribers cannot be reached over Sipbroker PSTN access numbers? Or may be I'm missing something?

Thanks!

I think the process of adding SIP Proxies to SipBroker is fairly automated/automatic and it doesn't necessarily imply it is useful. Many codes are assigned to providers that don't even allow incoming calls from other networks, making them effectively pointless.

It would make more sense to make a numeric "SipBroker Alias" and point it to your direct pbxes SIP URI, than use the listed SipBroker codes directly.

It seems that there is the similar story with Mysipswitch, right?

Not neccessarily in that case, if your MySipSwitch username is numeric, you should be reachable via SipBroker in that case

I think if it is an inbound route for a DID , it will work fine.

For instance, if I have 12345678901 registered from XYZ priovider and a valid destination, I can then accept calls as 12345678901@pbxes.org and the calls will follow that inbound route.
