With the registrations of SIP providers, I can now call out using Exetel and it presents my Exetel DID number to the called party.

However..... it doesn't accept incoming calls for some reason -- if I setup eyeBeam with Exetel using a non-Exetel Internet connection, it works perfectly.

Any idea why I can make calls using a voxalot.com.au registration and Exetel, but I cannot receive calls through voxalot.com.au?

I cancelled my minimum spend Exetel VoIP service a long time ago, now they have a zero monthly cost option without a DID so I thought I would try it out again.

When I try to call out, I get a failed call attempt. There is no DID for incoming calls so I didn't bother registering for incoming [although I might set it up for register at some stage].

Some providers require a SIP registration to make outgoing calls.

Perhaps it is a CODEC issue for Exetel... I'll try again tonight.

Web callback [on either leg] won't work with my new Exetel account. Tested the account fine directly on my 7404VGO okay...
