No, good question but I never set up anything like that. I think Vbuzzer is registered (that is what I am telling Voxalot to do afterall) and that I am one of the 11 voxalot users that Martin said has vbuzzer showing as 'registered' to them. I've had Vbuzzer set that way for a week now.

ctylor,

Incoming Vbuzzer calls don't work for me either through VoXaLot.

If I disable VoXaLot's SIP registration with Vbuzzer (giving plenty of time for it to expire), I can register a PAP2 or my Asterisk server with Vbuzzer and receive incoming calls as expected.

When I register VoXaLot with Vbuzzer, incoming calls fail in a variety of ways depending on where the call originated from. I'm confident I'm successfully registered with Vbuzzer from VoXaLot because outgoing calls fail if registration is not enabled (a known characteristic of Vbuzzer).

We just made a minor tweak to hopefully resolve these registration issues. Are you able to re-test?

Thanks

Success! Call from Gizmo Project to user@vbuzzer.com:80 now rings my ATA as desired/expected. Thank you Martin.

I don't believe I'm seeing any difference.

I have an FWD number set to forward to my Vbuzzer account.

If I call the FWD number from Gizmo Project's Sip Broker access (011-747-*393-767429), FWD's voicemail answers immediately.

If I call the FWD number from another FWD number, I go into an echo mode briefly and then everything just dies.

If I call the FWD number from VoXaLot's Sip Broker access (*393-767429), FWD's voicemail answers immediately.

If I call the FWD number via Sip Broker PSTN access, I get a normal (not fast) busy (but everything I try to call through Sip Broker PSTN access tonight gets a normal busy).

If I register a PAP2 (instead of VoXaLot) with Vbuzzer, calls made to the FWD number go through to the PAP2 properly.

Based on ctylor's report, I forwarded my Gizmo Project number to Vbuzzer, and everything worked as expected. Apparently there is an unexpected quirk with FWD.

Switching gears...

While monitoring SIP registration status at SIPphone, I noticed that the registration is being made on port 5061 (at least according to SIPphone) even though I specified port 5060 on the VoXaLot Provider page. Is the port number negotiable during SIP registration such that this difference is normal?

Not to my knowledge. Could it be referring to voxalot.com:5061 as that is where our registrations come from?

Could be, the status line isn't overly wordy.

Hi Martin

Here is an update on my tests.

Sipphone - Success MOS 4.195313 Almost no delay
FWD - Success MOS 4.195313 Almost no delay
Sipgate.co.uk - Success MOS 4.195313 Almost no delay
Eutelia.it - Success MOS 4.195313 Almost no delay

Now vBuzzer is a different story, here are its results:

vBuzzer - Fails (Bell Type Recording - Number not avail. etc.)

Then I registered vBuzzer with my ATA on the PSTN Line and the results were:

vBuzzer - Voxalot rings on my ATA (Line 1)!!!, but conversation is
one-way only (Voxalot registered SIP can hear caller but
caller cannot hear me).

It seems clear that vBuzzer WANTS to be registered before it gets transfered to Voxalot, but I don't understand why it isn't considering itself appropriately registered under the PROVIDER functionality on Voxalot and requires me to register it elsewhere (my ATA 2nd line or eyeBEAM).

Also, I don't know what's causing the one-way sound :-(

BTW, the other VSPs as I showed above, works, VERY GOOD!!!!

Take care

Richard

Oh forgot to mention, STANAPHONE also has only one-way audio, but this service is not really that critical to me.
