![]() Just in case anyone else needs this tip, thanks to Kurun for the original post
I have been trying to activate outgoing caller ID. I use the following settings in advanced under voice service provider: Provider Name : Voipdiscount (whatever) From User : Format: + Country Code & Area Code & Number e.g. +1212123456 From Domain : sip.voipdiscount.com Username : Voipdiscount Log-In UserID Codecs : g729;g723;g726;ilbc;gsm;ulaw;alaw Host : sip.voipdiscount.com Port : 5060 Active : Yes SIP Register : No Optimize Audio Path : No In your Smart Call (Dial Plan), make sure Virtual Toll Free is off. Note: Kurun's original settings didn't work for me. I needed the plus sign. Remember to make sure you verify the number using the betamax pc dialling program first ![]() Last edited by hobnob; 10-03-2008 at 03:35 AM. |

![]() After further investigation, I hsve decided that outgoing caller ID is most likely determined by which betamax server connects your call. Sometimes you get lucky and get one that supports it. Sometimes you don't.
I've called the same number several times without changing settings and seem to get caller ID 1 in 5 times. |
