If you are going to shorten the ring time this much, you have to have an option of disabling it. 21-23 seconds is just not long enough for some people who may not want voicemail to kick in and answer the call before they get a chance to get to the phone if they are tied up when the phone starts to ring.

I disagree; 21-23 seconds is more than enough time to answer the call, and is more in line with other voicemail delays that I have come across with both PSTN and Mobile carriers. At least if you don't get to the phone in time, the caller can leave a message.

The problem with having such a long delay before voicemail kicks in, is that the caller will not wait long enough and assume that nobody is going to answer and that the phone does not have voicemail (because they have waitied as long as they normally do for other carriers), and so will hang up.

Thumbs up setting delay before voicemail kicks in

I just discovered that I can change the delay before voicemail kicks in when using an ATA registered with Voxalot. I am using an SPA-2002.

Login as "admin", then click on "advanced" option and then on the "user" tab (click on user 1 or 2 depending on which user is registered with the voxalot account).
Change the following:
Cfwd no ans: put your 6 digit voxalot number here
Cfwd no ans Delay: default is 20 (seconds). This is about 4 rings in North America. Put in the value you would like - as long as it is equal to or less than the Voxalot default (30 / 35 seconds?)

Seems to work for me.
