The title of this thread includes the word "interoperability" & the word "Betamax"
How come it is impossible to use Webcallback with Betamax providers on both legs, when previously it would work. I am eagerly awaiting the launch of Prtemium, in other words I am quite prepared to pay for Webcallback. It is a potential dealbreaker if I can't do this with Betamax providers. I am prepared to bet money that the current problems are caused by Betamax. Ahoy Voxalot, you could be losing a potential customer here. Please can I have some explanation? |

Just a quick update.
We have received a response from Betamax - they are looking into web call back issues with Betamax labels and will get back to us. Tony. |

To follow up on Tony's post, the web callback feature now passes the IP address of the browser that initiated the call.
This enables Betamax to manage their FUP for all calls made through Voxalot. Please let us know if you are still having problems.

It's working perfectly for me now on the EU server with VoipDiscount. Thanks Martin for all your hard work.

Now is working!
All combinations of Betamax clones. I tested with: VoipBuster - VoipCheap, VoipBuster - VoipBuster, VoipCheap - VoipBuster and VoipCheap - VoipCheap I am in Vienna, Austria; using eu.voxalot.com; all test done with 2 landline numbers: Austrian Post: 00431xxxxxxx and Sipgate.at DID: 0043720xxxxxx. one of my daft tricks before was -
Voxalot web callback leg 1: use Voipcheap to call a DID pointed at a Voipbuster account; answer in PC client leg 2: use the same Voipbuster account to call DID pointed at the same Voipcheap account; also answer this in PC client It works again (eu server) - "hello; am I talking to myself?" - also proving that these accounts can be logged in at two places at once (and this time no pop-up to confirm re-log-on) Both PC clients still give the same originating IP address, so Betamax are still only passing on the details from the DID supplier - not the browser one anyway |

1.au.voxalot.com : work fine; 2.eu.voxalot.com : work fine; 3.us.voxalot.com : work fine; all test calls are not free destinations. I worry about mobile WAP callback still: In the world, some mobile carriers assign private IP address to their WAP users. Maybe, there are 30 millions mobile users belong to one of these mobile carriers.Once much of them use both Voxalot mobile wap callback and Betamax, the IP address of mobile carrier internet gateway(proxy) will be the only one IP address to be passed to Betamax. And,what will happen? Last edited by hust; 05-09-2007 at 03:59 PM. |
