How to forward call by smsdiscount/Betamax ?
I made the next rule in the Call Forward List:
Priority 10 InboundCIDPattern empty Day weekday StartTime 8:00 EndTime 20:00 ForwardTo 0031252222222 Provider SMSDiscount Active yes It must forward the call's during daytime to phone at work. If I call my number I hear tsik biep biep biep . . . .. I can call out with smsdiscount. And if I replace SMSDISCOUNT by CARPO or XS4ALL it is working ok. But I want it working with SMSDISCOUNT because CARPO / XS4ALL almost run out of credits at and SMSDISCOUNT is cheaper. And also because I like to know why it is not working. |

What are the SIP settings you are using for SMS discount?
Per the SMS Discount website, it did not seem that they supported SIP calls in SIP hardware. Are you using SMS Discount in registered or unregistered mode in Voxalot? Thanks |

SIP settings I found here:here(in German !).
Because "connectionserver.smsdiscount.com" have too much characters for Voxalot, I replace it by the ip from betamaxserver 194.120.0.198. Usually unregistered, but yesterday I have try it in registered mode too. Call out is working, VoxCallMe too so I think that repalacement not the problem. Only Voxalot callforward don't work. With SIP Discount same problem(but no credits there, only try-minutes). (I see now I have my number in the From User and not username, cant that be a problem?) Thanks for the link and the SIP info.
I will try Callforwarding with SMS Discount when I get a chance. Perhaps you can try using the UserId in both fields (From_User, Username) first and see if Call Forward works, since you already have the outgoing working. Last edited by kurun; 07-05-2007 at 12:57 PM. |

Yesterday i had it working after change from eu-server to au-server and one time at us-server but only for short time. And it was work with my number as displayname too. So I think that is not the reason.
Just changed to au-server and it works(but I try in evning again). Seems only au server work. With as disadvatage more latency for other calls. To Voxalot team: Is it right, that servers are different? Why? |

I just checked Call Forward via SMS Discount using the Betamax IP address indicated above (194.120.0.198).
I can make outbound calls or Call Forwarding to PSTN numbers successfully everytime under following conditions : 1) I am using the US server for my Voxalot Account registration (Only registration tested). 2) I am using SMS Discount for only the outbound portion of the call forwarding. 3) I dialled into my account from my mobile calling my DID number pointing to my Voxalot account, or 4) I dialled into my account from my mobile to the SIP Broker access number and to other registered accounts in my Voxalot Account (*xxx-xxxetc.) Of particular interest to note is that Call Forwarding via SMS Discount DID NOT work if I call directly to my Voxalot account (*010-xxxxxx) using the SIP-Broker Access No. I also checked another Betamax service, and it did the same thing. So this suggests that Callforwarding using a SIP Broker Access number calling my Voxalot account does not work. Calling my Voxalot account from another Voxalot account forwards correctly. Perhaps Martin can investigate or shed some light as to why Call Forwarding of a call to *010-xxxxxx using SB Access No does not seem to work, though it does work correctly if I use a non-Betamax outbound service. |

The issue is related to the IP address of the inbound calls. We need to work with Betamax to resolve this. .

Ok here is my input so far.
I am using DIDWW and TPAD nos for incoming calls TPAD is registered VoipDiscount for outbound to USA and CANADA nos. Tried us. eu. au. ======= in simple terms LandLine -> DID -> Voxalot -> VoipDiscount -> mobile (Canada) ========= 50% everything works I can hear phone ringing on LandLine and mobile both ... and have two way sound 50% I can hear only two rings on Landline - Mobile keeps on ringing - on pick up I CANNOT hear anything on my mobile but on my landline I can hear what is being said on Mobile (One way) =========== Interesting part If I bring in Grandcentral i.e. Landline-> DID -> Voxalot -> Voipdiscount -> Grandcentral USA No-> Canada Mobile Works 100% no problem except for bit down graded voice quality ============== I have registered my WIP300 with VoxaLot but it is mostly turned off and not registered at the time I make these test calls Any input |
