Can't add voxalot.com as a provider?
I am looking at dial plans and I wanted to add one for 500 so that voicemail doesn't get routed away, or more precisely gets routed directly to voxalot.
I tried to add a provider as voxalot and it wouldn't work, saying that voxalot.com already exists [for the host]. Sipbroker has the same result.... Perhaps dial plans should allow use of voxalot and/or sipbroker as 'providers'. |

I'm not sure that you need this. If your ATA is set up to route all calls to VoXaLot, then all you need to do is dial 500 on your telephone handset, the call will go to VoXaLot. All you need to ensure is that you don't have a VoXaLot dial plan that routes a 3 digit call to one of your VSPs.
Have a look at the very bottom of the tutorial here http://www.voxalot.com/action/static...lay&itemOID=23 for info on how to set up your VoXaLot dial plan so that the 500 voice mail number is not routed to another VSP. Matt |

Well no, it is not that simple.
In Victoria, we have a bunch of regional numbers starting with 5, but to call them, you should use 035X. So given that the area code is 03 and that is the same for all of Victoria [and Tassie for that matter], if any call starts with 5, 6 [for Tassie], 8 or 9, then I prepend with 03 automatically with a dial plan at Voxalot -- forget about any ATA dial plans, I am trying to get Voxalot to handle all dial plans. I want all regional Victorian numbers starting with 5 and all Tassie numbers starting with 6 to be normal fixed line number calls. The problem is that 500 is voicemail with voxalot and 600 is an echo test with voxalot [other special numbers may exist]. If I could have a dial plan rule for these specific numbers and it is before the 'normal' fixed line number rule, then I will have what I need. |

Okay, I changed as follows:
_[5689]X. to _[5689]XXX. Now this rule only works for numbers at lest 4 in length. |

I wouldn't mind being able to add voxalot and sipbroker just the same for other possible call routing plans.

You could try _[5]ZXXX. This would preclude the second number being 0 |

Edit: okay, I didn't look properly did I..... I don't think there are any numbers that start with 0350nnnnnn -- but I could be wrong. |

I can add voxalot.com.au -- it works!
Now I have _500 and _600 dial plan rules to voxalot.com.au I have seen elsewhere on the forum that voxalot.com and voxalot.com.au are two different servers. So I pinged both names and got much faster results on the .com.au one -- I have since changed my login to voxalot.com.au and everything seems to be fine..... I have reverted back to _[5689]X. instead of _[5689]XXX. - this is for a different dial plan rule.... So far I am only aware of the 500 and 600 special voxalot numbers, so I have dial plans just for them -- if I learn of others, then I will need to add more dial plan rules for them. |

Good stuff. At the moment 500 and 600 are the only service numbers we have. The only other number that VoXaLot special cases are 6 digit numbers to call other VoXaLot numbers directly.
