kurun:
My calculation was a very rough estimate. When I subscribed to Rogers which has a 60GB ceiling traffic, I got a little bit nervous. However, I found my worries are baseless because if I keep the line open for 24 hours (which will never be the case) I will end up using from 32GB to 36GB which is around half the quota. I have to admit that the cable is faster than the DSL (unless I had the wrong impression).
It will be interesting to know for technical discussion how much 711 codec will consume per minute on a cable connection with all the associated overhead. I will try for testing purpose force my ATA to make calls using the 729 codec and see if there will be a huge difference in sound quality or not.
