I am still using spa1001 (mod PAP2v1). betamax runs on line2 (dial# to select). it has been running this way possibly 6~7 years (spa1001 is a pretty old product).
my international calls on Jan 01 2011, all got charged (some 2 Euro). since then, it's fine so fine. But I was still surprised that FUP occurred to my account eventually.
I had mentioned early. USA domestic calls using betamax, I never run into FUP unless out of free days. International calls using betamax, if voxalot as proxy, whatever, high possibility to get FUP. So I give up. No voxalot when using betamax.
The charge of Jan 01 2011 calls was under "no voxalot" settings. that's why it surprised me. I would think it's a betamax glitch. not my sip setting issue, or FUP (far from 300 min/week).
Now I will keep close watch on this. hopeful not happens frequently.
update:
davidnewton, I checked, on Jan 01 2011, my calls to landlines got charged.
