if I choose code G729 only (and nothing else) in the provider at voxalot. (I am using betaxmax for example smsdicount) the call is connected as 711 to my ATA

The only way i can achieve G729 this is by configuring my ATA to use G729 as preferred codec. ok when I call home but when I call a friend it goes via 711

is there a way to force voxalot to negociate either g729;g723;g726;gsm;ilbc only ?

If my ATA has prefered codec G711 and G729 enabled and Voxalot has G729 only on the provider why do they negociate on G711 ?

any ideas

Thanks
I am not fully versed on this but ...

From what I understand, the codec string you set up in VoXalot deals with the connection VoXalot<>Provider, not the connection Your ATA<>VoXalot

(that example is based on the entire connection path being ATA<>VoXalot<>Provider )

So if your ATA prefers G711 VoXalot will negotiate on those terms, because it is what you've set up on the ATA that takes care of the ATA<>VoXalot negotiation...
