Looks like I am having the same or very similar problem. I also have a PAP2 on ADSL. When I get a call to my Pennytel DID, sometimes the phone will ring, sometimes it won't. Whether it rings or not, the call goes straight to voicemail. If it rings and the receiver is picked up, there is no audio of any kind. Just eerie silence. However, occasionally, when I pick up the phone, I do get connected to the caller. More often than not, it doesn't work.

Pennytel blame the problem on Voxalot.

I have Optimise Audio Path set to 'No'.
