Audio Problems

Hi
Ive started facing audio issues suddenly for the past 1 week. I have 2 ATAs (Linksys PAP2T) set up (1 each in India and Cyprus). All was working fine untill last week when calls are made I cannot hear audio from the other end. The person in India can hear my voice but I cant hear them. This is true if I call or they call. Funny thing is that when I call through a soft phone to either number, the audio works just fine. Also I have a VOIP service provider setup (Just VOIP). When I make calls through this service provider to a normal landline the audio is fine as well. Tried suggestions on this forum by changing to EU servers. No luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

sound stutter problems

I don't know exactly how long it's going on but, I noticed sound problems a few days ago.
Today, I'm still experiencing these sound stutter problems.
The stuttering goes and comes back again with the same interval, leaving holes in my conversation.
It happens during phone calls to any number, with or without dial plans or through any vsp.
Also, my conversations are accompanied by a hissing sound.
There's no difference in sound quality when using the US server or the EU server. There's also no difference when using a softphone or an ATA.

Well... there's one difference though.
When using the US server, I can receive calls but it's not possible to make outbound calls; no sound is heard on either side.
Voxalot users around me complain all about the same problems.

.....!!!

Patlaw calls it interruptions in the audio. Posted on the 20th of March.

Today, something has changed.
Instead of choppiness, there were interruptions of at least 3 or 4 seconds.
Over and over again.
It felt like someone was trying out all the buttons: PLAY / REVERSE PLAY / PAUSE / STOP.

Anyone out there hearing me?
I suppose not :)

The problem could be caused by other activity on your network (like an upload or download, or other computers browsing on the same internet connection) or a problem with your internet service provider.

I am using the US server but regularly make calls to family using the EU server.
I did not notice anything out of the ordinary today, and call quality was virtually perfect.

No more audio problems

Kurun, thank you for replying!
Finally, I have crystal clear sound again.
A few moths ago, I replaced my Draytek Vigor 2900 with a D-Link N router.
Until I started to write about it, I had no problems with voice at all. So, I never suspected the new router to be the cause of the audio problems.
The day before yesterday, I replaced the D-link router with another one (Belkin).
Now everything seems to be fine again.
Why my friends had/have problems with audio, I still don't know.
We just have to find out if they have made changes to their network too.
