ping from taiwan to au.voxalot.com >500ms !!!
 

Hi,

I did have a 200ms ping to au.voxalot.com

Now it is 500ms. Did you guys change anything in the last couple of months?

Have you changed your servers?

Could my Taiwan ISP (Chunghwa), or one of their upstream providers, have changed one of the international routes modifying the traffic path?

-Yes, pings are at best 400ms,
and to top it off, I have consistent traffic loss on the path.
-Must be the Chunghwa/Hinet/Verizon undersea cable. Probably has a hole in it.
-Note that I have NO traffic loss, and <220ms pings, direct to MyNetPhone & Pennytel.
-Subscribing hasn't helped.
-What's the go?

Oh, yeah. Forgot to mention. This makes your service unusable. I suppose I will have to get a refund.

Is there some reason your international links are so bad when the big VSP's links are OK? Is it because the budget carriers (eg My ISP, Chunghwa) send their inter-continental traffic by seahorse along ancient submerged roadways, and the rest of us use photons travelling down modern fiber optical cable?

Thanks Martin? & Voxalot team for processing the refund quickly. Very professional. If my Chunghwa ADSL1 /Hinet/Velocity/Au.voxalot.com route ping response improves and they fix the leaking undersea cable or get some faster reliable seahorses, I will be back.

did you try other voxalot servers? I wonder what the US voxalot server will do for you? Probably halve your latency
