Idea for unlimited easy speed dial
 

I don't have a phonebook on my telephone, so I had always to look at my cellular to find the numbers of my friends. That was very uneasily. I didn't want neither to memorize all the numbers !!

As I don't like the Speed dial where we must enter the sip-url,
here a very simple way I found to add speed dial entries :

For example, I'd like to call MARC.

On my phone, where letters are printed next to numbers (like cellulars) ( 2 ABC, 3 DEF, 4 GHI, ... ), marc correponds to 6272.

So I just put this entry in Dial plan :
Prority : (whatever)
Pattern : _6272
Replacement : (the number of marc)
Provider : the provider you choose to call
Enum : (I don't use)
Active: yes

I did that to the numbers I call very offen, and now to call a firend, I just look on my keypad and "write his name".

I don't know why it doesn't working for you because it works perfectly here...
Are you sure you put the right params ?

Priority was the issue!
 

I thought I configured it right, but here is my dial plan for a test I made for "mike":

201 _9675 001202XXXXXXX Voipcheap Yes

I also tried to change the number to 6 digits '_967522', thinking that a 4 digit number would cause problems.

In one test I even added a dot '_9675.' to see if it would behave differently.

I was getting a 403 Forbidden error.

SOLUTION: I moved the standard '_XXX.' pattern after this custom dial plan (lower priority), now it works!

Hi, You can have upto 1000 speed dial number, if you register with easypabx.com. Idea is open an account with easypabx, make your spped dial entries there and register easypabx with voxalot and make you dial plans accordingly.

I have been a while with easypabx...and I'm still registered for a backup account.
The problem with easypabx is that it is VERY UNREALIABLE...
But I agree it has very very god features.
In the future, I'll try to set my own pabx..butnot for now..
