New Improvements

Today we released the following VoXaLot improvements:

- Added a new phone book feature to the Web Call-Back

- Added an optional "Delay" field to the Web Call-Back. This allows members to initiate a delayed web call. This useful is for dial-up users as it allows them to disconnect their internet connection to accept the inbound web call.

- Improved ENUM lookups and the dial plan "Test" functionality to also include ENUM lookups.

- Added an active flag to dial plan entries and providers

Please report any issues in this thread.

Good stuff Bill. The ENUM Replacement field should give you the functionality you require to dial local numbers and prefix the 61x${EXTEN} to use for ENUM.

eg

In advanced dial plan:

Pattern: 9xxxxxxx
Replacement: 02${EXTEN} <--- This is what gets passed to provider
Provider: <your provider>
ENUM Replacement: 612${EXTEN} <--- This is what gets passed to ENUM

Hope this makes sense.

Martin - Still getting message "number could not be connected" when using Voxalot -SPA monitor says connected at gw3(Voxalot) but message only - it appears the call is not being sent back to provider for PSTN - dial plan is _[345]xxxxxxx 07${EXTEN} sipme and enum repalcement - 617${EXTEN} - this is for Queensland numbers only - - Bill

martin 04-21-2006 01:06 AM

Hi Bill,

To test your VoXaLot connectivity try:

#3 <wait for tone> 600 <-- This should get to echo test
#3 <wait for tone> 18005551212 <-- This should get to ENUM info service
#3 <wait for tone> Queensland number

If the first 2 fail try re-booting your modem again like you did last time.

wildbill 04-21-2006 01:54 AM

Martin - ADSL Modem and SPA reboot - first 2 tests ok - dial local number and get invalid call -from SPA monitor - PSTN 40364413@gw3 is the number Im trying to call(my fax) - I can also call marks enum test no ok - Bill

martin 04-21-2006 05:06 AM

Do any other sipme numbers work via VoXaLot.

If you ATA is registered with sipme I suspect sipme is rejecting the call due to the inbound call 0740364413 comming from VoXaLot IP address while you are registered at another IP address.

Maybe try not having your ATA register with sipme?

wildbill 04-21-2006 05:21 AM

OK will register Voxalot as proxy on SPA and see how it goes - will post results - Bill

wildbill 04-21-2006 05:55 AM

Martin with Voxalot registered on SPA and [x*][x*]. in dial plan Voip calls and test no all ok however cannot call PSTN or internal Sipme -also tried Sibroker code then Sipme no - monitor shows calls going to Voxalot then Invalid Call State - Bill

martin 04-21-2006 06:45 AM

Hi Bill,

If the sipme provider is set-up with the right username and password and host field then my question would be whether sipme works with VoXaLot.

Are you able to use sipme with the web callback?

I seems like the problem is now with VoXaLot initiating a call to sipme.

Anyone else able to use sipme with VoXaLot?

affinity 04-21-2006 07:09 AM

I just tested web callback with Faktortel and SIPME -- swapping the providers for each link.

Both calls worked fine.

wildbill 04-21-2006 10:36 PM

Martin - using webcallback I am able to call via Sipme to Sipbroker then test no like *393612 and 18005551212 but when I try to call Sipme test no progress on call - ringing my pstn the Spa monitor shows - Inbound Call 2 Type:
Call 1 Peer Name: 150251 Call 2 Peer Name:
Call 1 Peer Phone: blah
What does all this mean - it seems as if Voxalot is attempting to pass call my PSTN but something is stopping the call????? - bill

wildbill 04-23-2006 02:35 AM

Just tried adding <:617>[3-5]xxxxxxx<:@sipbroker.com> to dial plan to see if that works and sipbroker onforwards to PSTN ok for me - why not Voxalot???
still getting invalid call state etc - Bill

wildbill 04-24-2006 07:17 AM

Martin have you been keeping a eye on the above saga - I have queried sipme support to see if they are blocking inbound? from Voxalot - no reply yet - Bill

martin 04-24-2006 08:01 AM

Hi Bill,

I was hoping another VoXaLot member using our dial plan feature in conjunction with sipme would post their comments on this.

I might have to sign-up for a sipme account and validate.

I have Sipme. What do you want me to do? I don't quite understand Bill's problem.

I tried the Web Call Back. Entered my number using Sipbroker. Entered destination number 888168168 (Sipme's test number) using Sipme. I hear ringing the other end. Test successful.

Tell me what else to do.

Lee.

wildbill 04-24-2006 09:48 AM

Lee my problem is PSTN numbers are not being redirected to Sipme - no problems with Voip or the Webcall back using Voip numbers however if I ring my Fax line from my Voip it doesnt ring i.e. not being redirected back to Sipme after Enum(none) lookup for the number - so the bottom line is can you make a PSTN call using Voxalot/Sipme? - I cant -using Sipbroker I can????? - Bill

In each of your dial plan, using the advanced option, have a look at the "ENUM Replacement" field (it's a new one). Have it change the PSTN number to an international (e164) format.

wildbill 04-24-2006 10:35 AM

Tried that as soon as it was available - no difference - also followed mallycats wiki as well - Bill

Can you show us that particular dial plan?

wildbill 04-24-2006 10:48 AM

This is my voxalot dial plan
1 _xxxxxxxx 617${EXTEN} sipme - for local Qld
2 _1777xxxxxx ${EXTEN} sipme - inter sipme
3 _0[2348]xxxxxxxx 61${EXTEN:1} sipme - for australia calls
for the above 3 in Enum replace - ${EXTEN}

The test button shows the correct number being redirected or Enum lookup but nothing happens on PSTN onforwarding - Bill

Try changing just 3 to:

Pattern: _0[23478]xxxxxxxx (note the addition of 7 for 07)
Replacement: ${EXTEN}
Provider: Sipme
ENUM Replacement: 61${EXTEN:1}

Then dial your PSTN number using the area code 07 prefix. We'll work out the rest later.

wildbill 04-24-2006 09:57 PM

Lee mods done and tried - all I get when I ring a PSTN number is "invalid call state" - Bill
This is from SPA page
Call 1 State: Invalid Call 2 State: Idle
Call 1 Tone: Reorder Call 2 Tone: None
Call 1 Encoder: Call 2 Encoder:
Call 1 Decoder: Call 2 Decoder:
Call 1 FAX: Call 2 FAX:
Call 1 Type: Outbound Call 2 Type:
Call 1 Remote Hold: No Call 2 Remote Hold:
Call 1 Callback: No Call 2 Callback:
Call 1 Peer Name: Call 2 Peer Name:
Call 1 Peer Phone: 0740xxxxxx@gw3 (Voxalot)

melbournelees 04-24-2006 11:29 PM

Hi Bill,

Can you try this number from your phone?
1-516-687-5089

wildbill 04-25-2006 01:43 AM

Have rung that plenty of times it is marks telling you if Enum or PSTN - if I use Voxalot via gw3 its Enum - use Sipme its PSTN - Bill
Sorry for the late reply been into the march and now inclined to kill a few of the enemy (disguised as schooners of beer) in the name of my father and his mates

So we can safely assume calling other enum numbers work.
Would you like to pm your enum registered pstn number for me to test?

wildbill 04-25-2006 02:48 AM

Lee - Number sent - bill

melbournelees 04-25-2006 03:37 AM

Hey Bill,

I just thought of this. Could be your Sipme details with VoXaLot are not correct.

Lee.

wildbill 04-25-2006 04:19 AM

Martin/Lee - been on the phone to Lee and he suggested I remove all reference to Sipme in my SPA configuration and use the Voxalot provider/dial plan advanced page setup only for this - done this and it appears as if that everything is working OK now - however the real test will come when my wife uses the setup - thanks Bill
