Freephonie problem
Hi all,
I'm new here and happy to see that good free services still exist. I set 2 VSP: - Betamax - Freephonie, wich is my french ISP. (They provide SIP to make free calls to France). Betamax works well but Freephonie doesn't, and I don't know why. Maybe they disabled connections from Voxalot, but I am not sure. I try to make a call with X-Lite, and nothing happens. "Calling..." keep showing for about 30 seconds, and then "Call failed: request timeout" or sometimes "Declined". My active settings are: - From User: 0953XXXXXX@freephonie.net - From domain : freephonie.net - Username: 0953XXXXXX - Codecs: g729;g723;g726;ilbc;gsm;ulaw;alaw - Host: freephonie.net (doesn't respond to Ping requests but it is the good host). - Port: 5060 These settings are working with my cell or with X-Lite. My Dial Plan is good, I tested it. I also tried to connect using au.voxalot.com and us.voxalot.com (I use eu.voxalot.com). Same problem. If I change the "From User" part, I have right after the "Forbidden" message in X-Lite. Maybe someone uses Freephonie too and knows if I did something wrong? Or maybe they do not want me to use the service through Voxalot? Thank you in advance. |

Thank you jozeph, but as I said (not very clearly), when I use 0953XXXXXX@freephonie.net, I have right after a "Forbidden" message. Using only my prefix (0953XXXXXX) in "From User" works well on ATA devices.
After reading the Freephonie.net thread, I think it is a codec problem, but I thought there was a codec negociation and that a message would appear if an error was encountered. (And when I said Betamax worked well, I didn't see that they charged my calls supposed to be free, because of FUP exceeded... but it's another story). |
