Strange call forwarding for 08007317929

I was just doing some tweaking of my dial plans and noticed that this number (08007317929) gets forwarded to sip:8007317929@public.sip.magrathea.net

I've got nothing set up to do anything like that in my dial plan so is it Voxalot and why?

Thanks.

Same thing happens here. I have no Dial Plan entries that should match.

FWIW, the number is actually one of a few UK freephone numbers that the Sky satellite TV STBs use to make their callbacks to.

I think you will find that this is the result of ENUM lookups.

That's correct

Ok, so how do I stop it from doing the ENUM lookup, because it is trying to place the call to the wrong number and so I get NU?

affinity 06-08-2006 09:22 AM

Place a special dial plan with advanced options, change the ENUM lookup entry so that it cannot resolve to anything.

fozzie 06-08-2006 09:29 AM

You mean something like:

Pattern - _08007317929
Replacement - ${EXTEN}
Provider - SipGate (G.711 only)
ENUM Replacement (Optional) - <blank>

Doesn't work - hitting test for 08007317929 still forwards to sip:8007317929@public.sip.magrathea.net

What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Hi,

As affinity suggests, put a bogas entry in the ENUM replacement field instead of leaving it blank.

fozzie 06-08-2006 10:10 AM

Thanks - I thought a blank entry would be considered a bogus entry?!

Ok, got that to work with a few random digits pre-pended to the lookup. How does one go about correcting the ENUM registered lookup? As I mentioned, it doesn't currently work; not sure why the 0 is dropped?
