Neuf.com and its proxy

Hello,

I'm using Neuf telecom SIP and try to use it through Voxalot.

I tried to connect to the service directly with my ATA, and found out the proxy at Neuf telecom is needed to use the service. I'm trying to add this service to my voxalot account, but it seems there no dedicated proxy field for that purpose.

Is there aybe a workaround ? as

- the domain/registrar is neuf.com
- the proxy is proxy.sip.n9euf.net

Thanks :)

Are these working on your ATA?

If they are, then to add this in VoXalot, go on advanced mode when configuring a provider:

From Domain Field = Domain/Registrar
Host Field = Proxy

BTW, unless you have a premium account, set SIP Register to No, you should still be able to make calls....

And it's not working :)
login : my neuf phone number
password : my neuf pass
registrar : voip.wengo.fr

ok i did not noticed you were using your DSL credentials. That is not the way it works.
You need to register to NEUFTALK and they will send you a password.
This neufTalk will be linked to your DSL account but will be sip.
Simly register with the new Id and Pass you will receive (and voip.wengo.fr as proxy & host) and you will be done!
You can register on NeufTalk directly online but they send you the id and Password only by postMail.
In fact it's the same account as your DSL degroupé account but with SIP capabilities which let you use a softphone or VoXalot

I'm not :) I'm trying to use the SIP account linked with my twin tact mobile phone. I can register to the service usig my Linksys WT54GP2 (router + SIP phone). But I can't get it work with Voxalot. My opinion is that the proxy.sip.n9uf.net is needed in the configuration.

What you need to do, as I mentioned above, is to try Advanced Settings after clicking on ADD Provider:

BTW, if you follow that make sure to erase the last semicolon at the end of the codec list....

It's not guaranteed it'll work but a pretty good chance (at least you can include the proxy this way)

Hello emoci.

Well, I tried this before your post. I re tried one more more, but it's unsuccessfull :/ when I dial the phone number (in the french way, ie with the 00xx), I get a busy tone after a long period waiting (20 sec). there must be somthing missing ro I maybe need to change something.

Thanks for your time :)

Try dialing the number in the Intl format: 00-Country Code-Number (ommit preceding zero you would dial when calling within France)

To speed up the dialing, after you are done entering the number, enter # at the end.

Unfoturnately busy tone means either the format of the number is incorrect, the details for the provider are incorrect, or the provider does not support registrations from VoXalot
