How to choose provider for outgoing calls?

Hi,

Is there a way to simply choose one of the VOIP providers registered on my Voxalot account for outgoing calls? As in--dial a key sequence such as #1 and get that provider's dial tone, then dial a PSTN number? I have searched documents and forums but haven't managed to discover the secret.

I want to be able to do this separately from the smart call dial plans. I split my time between two countries, and what's "smart" differs depending on where I am.

I know I can set up outgoing with gateways in a Sipura 3000, which is what I have done in one location. However, I don't have a Sipura 3000 at the other location, so I'm interested in being able to manually choose the provider for outgoing calls.

Thanks for your help.

If you create Voxalot dialplans that give you a unique prefix for each provider, then you can incorporate the prefix into the dialled number.

So, for instance, using the following dialplans, dialling 1*<destinationnumber> will route the call through Sipgate and 2*<destinationnumber> will route it via Sipgate.

_1*. ${EXTEN:2} Sipgate
_2*. ${EXTEN:2} Voipcheap

The only thing that this doesn't do is to give you an intermediate dial tone, but would you really need it?
