Engaged signal outbound, inbound ok

Hi,

I've finally configured a 3102 with voxalot and a couple of VSP. IT iniitially worked ok inbound and outbound etc. dial plans etc.

I had to change the password for one of the VSP, now I only get an engaged signal, when I dial a phone number.

I've deleted the VSP account recreated from scratch to be sure, but with no luck

Inbound calls from each VSP work ok. x 3

Outbound tests
*600 echo test is ok
600 echo test is ok
*393612 test ok, get date and time etc.
393612 engaged signal
*010810320 get VM and can leave message
*500 to pick up VM message is ok

*010 engaged signal

Checked the dial plans they all work when tested as they should.

I could not find anything on the forum or web that could help.

Any help would be appreaciated.

Cheers
Steve

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I only solution I found was making a backup of the dialplan (using Export) and manually delete all my dialplan and providers. After that, I manually re-added all my providers and reimported my dialplan. Make sure to test each provider one at a time to make sure they all work.

I tried deleting the VSP and dial plan entries, I logout for 20 min, and logged back in and started from scratch. I now get 2 of my VSP's registration process saying failed and the other one as pending

Even thought the registration is saying failed, the inbound calls to the VSP numbers still manage to ring through vox to the ATA !

I've tested the 2 accounts that failed, from a softphone and they register ok.

Cheers Steve

I've fixed the failed registration problem. the 2 accounts that failed, worked if they have the sip domain in the login ie. 123456@sip.xxx.com

I deleted all VSP and dial plan entries, and entered just the engin one too start and test.

For some reason the phone numbers of the 2 other VSP's that are not registered get through, along with the engine account. But I get and engaged signal if I dial out

600 and
*600 work though

The three VSP accounts say they are registered. But I am unable to dial out on the main engin one.
I've deleted the engine account and re entered it about a dozen times but with no luck. I've checked that login and password and they work ok from a centerpath softphone.

I've just noticed the VCP status for the engin account says "Auth. Sent" its said that for atleast 15 minutes.

Any help would be appreciated.

-For starters enter your Engin details with the incorrect password which will cause it to fail. Then remove and leave Engin removed for the next little while (a few hours).

In the meantime:

-What are your three providers?

-Which of the three providers do you expect/want to receive incoming calls on?

-Which of the three providers do you want to make outgoing calls with?

-What is/are your current VoXalot dial plan rules?

-What is currently the dialplan line, under Line 1 of the SPA3102?

Entering a bogus password to trip the account is good idea. It should force it too fail so it can be done from scratch. I've been deleting the accoutns and leaving for a while but there are no log files etc. that can verify there are no remenants of the old log.

-What are your three providers?
Engin
Pennytel
gotalk

-Which of the three providers do you expect/want to receive incoming calls on?
Recieve calls from all three, I've been able to revieve calls from all three.

- Which of the three providers do you want to make outgoing calls with?
Its a function of the call type, creating dial plans to suit wont be a probelm.

-What is/are your current VoXalot dial plan rules?
The default 999 plan that pipes everything out a single VSP.

-What is currently the dialplan line, under Line 1 of the SPA3102?
As per voxalot config notes. ([*x][*x].)

Ok,

Up to this point that makes life simple. Main idea here is to let trunk fail and completely reset.

The issue with registration is that not only must VoXalot let go of it on this end, but Engin must also let go of the fact that it is sending calls to VoXalot.

A VoXalot request with incorrect info tends to reset Engin, while also sending VoXalot a Not-Authorized answer that'll let the trunk fall.

Also keep in mind that multiple continous attempts to register unsucessfully can trigger a temporary denial from the provider's SIP Server (hence give it time).

But at the end of the day, just need to have trunk reset...

Now about this part... what were you expecting to get with a call to 393612 ?

Also *010 should not get you anywhere...*010500, or *010-<VoXalot Number> on the other hand should reach something
