Register still shows failed after sip server was back on-line
Pennytel was down for a few hours this morning, it was not registered even after the server was back on-line for hrs, I had to manually register. I don't remember I had to do this in the past, any ideas ?

This has always been the case. Once a provider is in failed state it is parked for up to 24 hours until the next retry cycle.
A retry cycle consists of 25 attempts made once every 2 mins. This allows us to control message flooding from our servers. |
To Manually Register, is it a simple Set Active/Register to "No" then back to "Yes"?
I couldn't tell if it was "Pending" as everytime I made changes it would stay at "Failed". |
Change the SIP Register field to "No" -> Save and then wait until the status field changes to a "-"
Then change the "SIP Register" field back to "Yes" -> Save |
