401 Unauthorized
I have a Cisco 7960 running 8.4 code and I am able to dial 600 for the echo test.
My problem is, in sniffer traces I see that I am constantly sending SIP Register requests and the return response is 401 Unauthorized. In between I see that I am sending an ICMP Port Unreachable packet indicating Source port 5060 and Destination port 50434. I have two FWD accounts on the first two lines which register fine. Can anyone help with this? Thanks, Tom |
Hi,
I am presuming you are defining your settings in the SIPxxxxxxx.cnf file and using tftp boot? If so, what do you have in the: linex_authname field? Have you tried a fully qualified username. i.e. xxxxxx@voxalot.com |
Yes, I am using the SIPxxxxxxxx.cnf file. The config comes down fine with TFTP and lines 1 & 2 which register to FWD work fine.
proxy3_address: "voxalot.com" proxy3_port: "5060" line3_name : "517919" line3_authname : "517919@voxalot.com" line3_password : "XXX" line3_shortname : "VoXaLoT" line4_displayname : "517919" Thanks, Tom |
Hi Tom,
Have you tried just: line3_authname : "517919" |
Yes, I have tried that as well.
Thanks. |
