Voice mail problem
It seems the voice mail doesn't work recently. It worked perfectly before. my friend calls me, I am not there, After 20second, it won't go to voice mail. Does anybody have the same problem with me. Or it is because the system upgrape, we need to pay for the voice mail service?

Voicemail will remain part of the free service. |
I made a test, after 20 second, I could hear it stop a little while, then a busy tone, but after I heard "di" , ring again, and then started all over again.

I have something along these lines happening:
Have a VBuzzer account, which is simply set to forward to VoXalot after 20 sec for voicemail purposes (so not registered). -If someone calls my did number, everything is well. -If someone calls via sipbroker using either SipCode+User, or a SipBroker alias, it rings for 20 seconds (as it should), but when it is time to go to voicemail it goes to busy message instead. -What gets me is this: I set up another VoXalot account that all it does is forward to *452VBuzzerUser. Now if I call SipBroker and dial *452VBuzzerUser I get a busy message after 4 rings, however, if I call the VoXalot account which is forwarding to *452VBuzzerUser, then Voicemail comes up after 4 rings... All that said, from previous experience: Registering your account in VoXalot (setting SIP register to yes under provider details), usually will have Voicemail answer after however many seconds you set it....but this will also cost you $15/year after the 16th. |

So: 1. DID number forwarded to 123456@us.voxalot.com (123456 replace with your account) Voicemail set to Yes You have to be able to forward from wherever you are managing the numbers. This setup is free But if it is not working then you'll have to try this: 2. Account with DID number added under providers on VoXalot and Sip Register set to yes. This makes VoXalot the equivalent of your Adaptor Box. So whenever the DID rings, VoXalot picks up the call. This is not free ($15/year after July 16th) Good news is, it is still free right now, so you have time to test.....at least, and see where the problem is. I guess providing more details on your setup will help: 1. At home, what is your Voip Adapter/SoftPhone registered with, VoXalot? 2. The DID numbers you mentioned, how are they connecting to voxalot right now? |
