Website Problem

We wish to apologise for the recent outage of our web servers. For most part, the telephony service was uninterrupted.

The information we received from the data center on the problem was:

Quote:

Starting this morning at approximately 6:20am EDT we experienced a power
failure which has been traced back to a blown feeder cable providing
power to Power Distribution Unit #6 within our Virginia Datacenter. We
have 6 PDUs in our datacenter and your server is powered by PDU #6.

Power has been intermittent all morning which leads us to the following:
We will be performing mandatory emergency maintenance immediately. We
expect this to take 4 hours.

Needless to say, we’re extremely upset to deliver this news to you.
Unfortunately, we have no other course of action other than to swiftly
and aggressively rectify this problem.

We apologize for this inconvenience.
In over 12 months we have had no problems with this data center and obviously we are quite frustrated that we have had 2 power outages in as many days. Especially since we have a 100% power outage uptime SLA in place with them.

Hopefully with the recent emergency work now complete, all problems should now be resolved.

voxalot wishes to apologize for this inconvenience.

Follow up email from the data center. Hopefully we have seen the last of the power issues.

We take full responsibility for the events that occurred today.
Unfortunately episodes like today's blown power cable are almost
impossible to forecast. That said, we are still moving forward on
our extensive diagnostic power test on Monday, June 25th at 7:00pm
EDT, as previously communicated. Once again, we do not expect any
disruption of service during this test.

We apologize for the interruption of service that occurred today and
we thank you for your continued patience.
