Voxalot voicemail messages being truncated

Hi there

My setup has PSTN calls being diverted to Voxalot voicemail and I have an SPA-3102.

PSTN calls ring through line 1, and a hotline dliaplan (S0<:xxxxxx@au.voxalot.com) setup which, after the PSTN Answer delay interval is picked up by the gateway and used to make a SIP call to voxalot. I have setup a rule in Voxalot which diverts all inbound calls directly to voicemail. This works for me since at the moment, I don't give out my VoIP DIDs and everyone rings our normal landline number.

Most of the time this setup works beautifully, but occasionally the messages left by callers are truncated.

I don't have a SIP registration on the PSTN tabe, since I'm using a SIP call to Voxalot; all other settings seem OK.

After reading the 3102 admin guide, the only parameter I can see that would affect the length of PSTN-to-VoIP calls is "PSTN-To-VoIP Call Max Dur". However this is set to 0, which according to the guide means that there shouldn't be a limit on the length of the call.

Other than that, I am out of ideas. Anyone else out there experienced this?

Cheers

Is there a particular length of time that that get truncated at? If you PM me your account number, I can take a look on the server side for you.

Hi Craig

I've sent you a PM with all the details. Thanks for taking a look at this for me.

I've had times when I've had to call voicemail a second time because the first time cuts out at an early stage of the call; the second call works fine though. I cannot explain why this might happen, but I reported it long ago. Are you sure your voicemail messages are actually truncated or is it that you aren't getting to hear the whole message?

I think I am getting the whole message, because I check the .WAV file sent in the email, and what I hear (truncated) is all that there is.

Hmm, my wav files have always been full and complete.... even if sometimes people don't leave messages.

Weird thing is, the problem is intermittent.

Unfortunately I have been deleting the messages in the past. I'll keep the next one though!
