Audio problems calling *500
I have some friends with ATA's connected to Voxalot, and many have called me today that they do not have audio return when calling via Internet calls.
They are heard by the called party, but no audio from them to the calling party. Now, when I ask them to test *500, almost 1/2 of the calls would not connect with Voxalot's voicemail. Nothing has changed on their setup, but many are saying the same. This seemed to have started on Friday or Saturday. My conclusion is that something has changed at Voxalot that makes 50% of the calls to *500 have no audio, when it was working 100% OK before. Can you confirm whether anything has been changed that would cause this behaviour? Or suggest what the problem could be? Again, all ATAs where working OK until this weekend, and now several are experiencing the same problem. Thanks DoctorH |
Same problem here
No audio whatsoever when calling *500
Furthermore, it is a one-way audio problem, as when calling other destinations I can't hear anything but the called party can hear me. I have not changed anything in the ATA configuration, it just stopped working yesterday (23/Feb/09). |
Problem is not with the ATA, is with the service
Dear Voxalot people,
Please, take a look into these threads. Something happened last weekend that ruined Voxalot's service and users experience. I'd hate to have to look for another provider. I've helped way many friends setting up ATAs and connecting to voxalot, and now everybody is calling me with the same problem. They cannot use the service anymore, and most of them would not even know how to post a thread. It worked greatly until last Friday/Saturday. Any help would be appreciated. DoctorH |
Nothing has changed except the DNS (i.e. SRV records). However, just to be safe we have restarted the RTP proxies on all servers. Can you please confirm if this has addressed your problem?
