Thank you for removing the entries for Spain. Maybe someone then will open a working SIP-Broker PSTN gateway in Spain.

ottawa exchange failure
 

when i call into ottawa exchange and tries to connect to a voxalot account it always fails with a busy signal.

I enter *010-xxxxxx # to access. This even fails with voxalot voice msg system ( *010500). It used to work several months ago.

Please verify

Although it is likely there was some downtime with the Spain numbers they are now back up and working

I can confirm that I was unable to connect to this as well

I just tested the Ottawa number, and was able to reach *010500 (you'll hear a message from Comedian Mail asking you to enter your account number)

Thank you Emoci, for clearing this matter. Indeed I was wrong, apart from the Tenerife Number. which indeed is out of service. I just checked two of the other Spanish numbers, and was able to call a SIP number.

Your positive answer made me wait a moment longer, and after the incomprehensible Spanish message there was another, resembling English. Even if I wasn't able to read, or rather hear, the message, one can dial the Sip Broker number directly after the message has ended.

I'm sorry for taking up your time with this false alarm. but during my last stay I expected the ususal Sip Broker PSTN Gateway message, which didn't happen.

Swiss Access Numbers
 

I can confirm that the Swiss numbers are down. The provider providing the service, sip-fon.ch is probably out of business. I have an account with them, and have not been able to reach them or use their service for more than six months. I had a prepaid account with a Geneva number, but only a small amount was lost due to their getting out of business. Also sip-fon.de seems to be closed down and the domains were for sale at least some time ago.

I am trying to call my enum registered number with e164.org and it doesn't seem to be working. :-( I am not complaining but how is this system so fragile? I checked the database entry via the link on your site and it is working properly.

The Waterloo, Canada number +1-519-772-5767 is not working.
When you call the number and then ask for the sip number you'd like to contact, it just hung up the call.
I've tried with other Canadian numbers (1 from Les and the other from Link2VoIP) and both worked.

Australia numbers not working
 

Tried most of the Australia dial in numbers (Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth) from landline and mobile and get the same result each time:

Dial number, get ringing tone, then get disconnected (not sure on technical term for the tone)

Tried it numerous times Thurs 2 Oct between 7:30 and 7:50 am (GMT +10)

Call through PSTN access to sipphone terminate after 1 ring
 

I am not sure if this is a sipbroker issue or a sipphone issue but i tested my sip number held through Gizmo5, and it terminates almost immediately, i have a feeling thought it is a gizmo issue as i tested it with one of their access numbers and the same thing happend.

So i call and the phone rings, then i hear the voice mail kick in, but my phone i called still rings, doesnt quite make any sense

any ideas here?

Brisbane Gateway playing up
 

Hi, I've noticed for some time now that when I ring in on the Brisbane IP Gate that the call is dropped out every time some 6 or so second later.

The line is actually being hung. The other end often has to go into their Asterisk and dump out the bad call as a hung line.

Also often DTMF doesn't work.

If I ring back here to my own Asterisk system often the DTMF is not recognised.

Problems using SipBroker numbers to call Voxalot extensions - Argentina/Canada
 

I've been having problems using the PSTN numbers in Argentina and Canada to call voxalot accounts since early saturday.

The numbers i've tested are:

Argentina:
+54-11 52374001 - hangs up or answers but never connects the call
+54-11 52588228 - does not answer

Canada:
204-480-4085 also answers, but the call is never connected to the desired voxalot extension (*010-xxxxxx)

I've also tried some numbers in the States and Canada, but did not log those numbers at that time.

Is there a general issue with calls from PSTN - Sipbroker to Voxalot?

Got a reply with in 60 minutes
We have tested the number and there does seem to be a problem with the Wellington number (6448900871). We will send this to our routing department and they will look into this problem to see if there is a problem with that specific number.

In the meantime if you have any questions or comments please let us know.

Anyone know how we can get a look in at the Australian Gateway numbers?

They have had issues for months now. (DTMF not working after calls connected / routed (second leg), and call dropouts to USA after the first 3-4 seconds).

When you dial through to somewhere that has DTMF prompts the DTMF is not passed.

604-630-9700: After answered, dial DTMF, most of time their server detects redundant digits. Say I dialed *8923-1234567890, I got 12334567890.

Unable to call Voipfone thru sipbroker
 

I am unable to dial into voipfone *350 because the sip url "voipfone.co.uk" was being used instead of their new url "sip.voipfone.co.uk".
Since I wrote to Voipfone support Sipbroker has changed to correct URl but still unable to peer thru Sipbroker.
Please confirm.

We have changed *250 to use sip.voipfone.co.uk you will need to ask voipfone what the problem is.

Dead access number
 

The Birmingham, AL access number, +1-205-757-0797, now goes to someone's Sprint PCS voicemail. I called LES.NET, and was told this should be reported to SipBroker, not to them.

New Sydney gateway working?

I got the prompt to enter the number I wish to call but got disconnected when I finish entering the number.

Tried it with both my PennySIM and SIP phone.

Using the Melbourne gateway and the same destination number works.

Pennytel sponsored Melbourne gateway seems to be working again....not sure what the issue was.

@emoci hey hows going? i have problem with munich number, when they call me i hear them perfectly, but they always hear me badly, they hear every third word with noise on the line,

what could be the problem?

It sounds like an issue with Voip (probably NAT) on your end...
Question: Does this happen with any other of the access numbers or only when you receive calls from Munich?

I'll run a few test calls...but ultimately I need to get Martin or Craig to take a look...

That said, Bluesip.net can give you your own (personal) Munich Phone Number for free...so have a look

There is a problem with UK access number(s).
As an example Cambridge +44-1223-858-747 (Telappliant) may be taken.

Calls to the destination SIP subscriber are connected, but in 10 sec after the answer on the SIP side the call is dropped.
Analysis on the target server shows that sipbroker server (64.34.162.221) is initiating a call over TCP and not replying with ACK to 200 OK sent by target proxy server. As a result the destination provider is terminating the call.
This doesn't happen when dialing voxalot, probably because only UDP may be used there. Calls to the same destination provider through Sipbroker access number in NYC are passing well.

If somebody is going to fix that please contact me via PM and I will provide the server-side logs.

It is not working either. I wonder how much it costs them to run all the numbers and how much business they get off of it as a result.

Based on the activity in the forums, I would say not much. So I would not blame them given the state of the economy and all to shut down a few or all of the lines.

Perhaps they should start charging people to use them. $10 a year or something like that.

It shouldn't be free. It is a valuable resource. I say shouldn't because I would rather have a candle burning at a normal rate rather than hot and fast to burn out and die earlier.

My father called me for free when he was in Ireland from the UK number that someone is running.

For the time being use +1-604-630-9700 ...

New Zealand - Wellington works (as there were issues with it before) now there are issues with the Auckland & Christchurch numebrs. Anyone else? I just ask since I am going there for two weeks. Thanks!
