Current VoXaLot status
I thought it best if I give a quick update as to what has happened/changed over the last few days and what the current state of play is.
-- Server migration. The main www.voxalot.com server has successfully been moved from its old machine to a new one and, as far as we know, there should be no more changes required. -- DNS propogation. The DNS entry was changed at about 03:00 AEST (GMT+10) on Monday morning (2nd October). It has now been over 30 hours since that happened, so hopefully everyones' ISP's DNS servers will have picked up that change by now. If you are still seeing the page that says the VoXaLot migration is in progress, unfortunately, you will have to wait until your ISP's DNS servers get their act together. -- Changing registration interval back to 5 minutes. As mentioned in previous posts, we have a new technique that we are testing and hope to get the last few remaining issues resolved over the next few days. Until then, unfortunately, registration turnaround will remain at 24 hours. We appreciated your patience. -- Current registration status showing as blank. This was a defect that has now been fixed (the registrations were happening as expected, but we were not displaying the results properly). If you are seeing a blank registration status, please continue to use the forums for support. -- We have noticed that there were a few more registration failures that normal Our suspicion is that some providers' DNS servers may not be using the new VoXaLot address yet, but hopefully in the next 24 hours that should be rectified. We understand that it is frustrating when things don't work, but hopefully any pain from the server migration will now be behind us. We appreciate your patience and continued support. Thanks a lot. -- Craig |

Unable to receive incoming calls with Gizmo Project
Have been trying to register Gizmo project to receive incoming calls. But now status is still UNREGISTERED.Was working before the server migration.
Also, just managed to fix outgoing calls. wasn't able to call out until now. |
Unable to receive calls..
Status update..
Able to make outgoing calls. Unable to receive calls. Status of the providers are still 'Request Sent'/'Unregistered'/'Not Registered'. |
Craig,
I'm also unable to receive calls from Gizmo Project because of unsuccessful registrations since the upgrade. Vbuzzer is also failing to register. Both of these were working prior to the upgrade and I haven't changed anything on this end. Ron |
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the status update. We ahve just tweaked our DNS server (seems it was timing out). Can you please now recheck your registrations. Thanks. |
