Hardware reccomendations?

Hello, looking to get a few friends onto VOIP. Could I get some reccomendations for some ATA's? My only experience is with my Cisco ATA-186.

These people would need resonable basic units with decent configuration options.

Local PSTN passthrough (like Grandstream HT-386) would be an added benefit.

Thanks,

Linksys PAP2 would be nice as I am using one but there is no PSTN passthrough.

Sipura 3000 is quite flexible and it does have PSTN passthrough. Overall, it has gotten good reviews.

If you or your friends/relatives that you are going to call are in a low bandwidth or bandwidth restricted environment, then you can perhaps consider Grandstream BudgeTone 200 phone which also supports iLBC codec in addition to the usual codecs. BudgeTone HandyTone ATA HT-488 also has PSTN passthrough support. Linksys and Sipura also do have low bandwidth codec support for G.723 and G.729 but they don't have iLBC.

I have only used Linksys PAP2, so I don't have any personal experience with Sipura or Grandstream products.

Billion 6404VGP / 7404VGP-M

I quiet like the Billion 6404VGP / 7404VGP-M.

The first is for Cable connections.

The second has ADSL2.

Both have Wlan, Router, Firewall, 2x seperate VOIP lines, 1x PSTN passthrough, DYNDNS, Email Notification, QOS, Multi VSP support.

And the list goes on! :)
