What happens to dial plan if provider is offline

What happens if one of my providers is offline? Does VoXaLot skip to the next dial plan in line or will I get no connection? For example, will my setup below work on Sipgate when voip.co.uk is offline?
10... _08.... ${EXTEN}... Voip.co.uk... Yes... [Edit] [Delete]
11... _08.... ${EXTEN}... Sipgate....... Yes... [Edit] [Delete]

If this doesn't happen at the moment, then can I suggest it as a feature to be added if possible?

I vote for this too. I gave voxalot away when trying to mimimize outages when my provider and voxalot both had a few.

If this feature was implemented and VSP's have more outages than voxalot then our service would be more reliable by going through voxalot (if more than one VSP is setup) than directly to a VSP.

Thanks for the feedback guys. We do indeed have this feature on our development plan as we think it will prove very useful.

As far as VoXaLot stability is concerned we have done quite a bit of work in recent months to add redundancy and failover of our servers and network. There is still a bit more to do but we are definately commited to this objective.

We have also been looking at EU servers to improve latency for our European friends.

Thanks again.

Thanks Martin, I'm going to try it again now anyway, as my account and dial plans are still in place. It is great for us 'non dial plan ATA' users.

You also make this a friendly place.
Cheers.

[edit] I used to find that through voxalot there was a few seconds extra delay between 'end of dialing' and 'begining of ringing' but I just did a few tests and found there is virtually no added delay now if any at all.

Thanks Martin. Looking forward to that feature. :)

Did this feature ever get implemented?
